Somewhere in the 70s and 80s, says Ashley McGuire, feminism derailed its equality train on to a women-should-be-like-men track. It is a dead-end track, she argues, since it reverses women’s advancement by denying both the differences between the sexes and the contributions women make to society that are different from those of men. The derailment also ushered in today’s “gender identity,” which is the latest step in the quest to abolish male and female.
Drawing from her recently released book, “Sex Scandal: The Drive to Abolish Male & Female,” Ashley offers examples of how this dead-end track is hurting women in three areas: the workplace, the campus, and the sports arenas.
She ends her presentation on a positive note highlighting the advances in science and the pushback in society.
