SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

The Social Media Director will be responsible for managing the Center’s social media presence, driving engagement, building brand awareness, and fostering community growth across various social media platforms. This position reports directly to the president.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that advances the Center’s mission
  • Create and schedule high-quality, engaging content across all social media platforms, with an emphasis on Instagram
  • Foster meaningful interactions with our audience, respond to comments and messages promptly, and build a strong community
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all social media platforms
  • Monitor social media analytics, track key performance metrics, and provide regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives

  • Proven experience in social media management with a track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns
  • Experience with video editing is a bonus

Compensation:

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women is seeking a Program Assistant with a strong work ethic and a positive demeanor to support all of our programs. The candidate should be knowledgeable on conservative values and aware of the issues of the day. She should have a heart for our mission of educating and advancing conservative women. Some travel will be required. The Center does not have a remote work option.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist with all Luce Center campus programs, including occasional travel
  • Assist with the Center’s internship program including editing intern articles, providing mentorship, and brainstorming new ideas
  • Work with Program Officer and Public Relations Officer to design, plan, and post content on our social media and website
  • Assist in video editing and creating video content for social media and internal use
  • Assist in planning and overseeing various Center events
  • Assist Program Officer in maintaining and developing relationships with young women on college campuses across the country to promote activism projects and Center events
  • Assist with writing letters and mailing promotional materials
  • Maintain inventory of program materials and purchase items as needed
  • Work with Center staff to brainstorm ideas for upcoming events, programs, and new activism projects
  • Maintain and update out database through Constant Contact
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of a Successful Candidate:

  • At least one year of work experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is appreciated but not required
  • Enthusiasm for the Center’s mission of preparing young women for effective leadership and promoting leading conservative women
  • Activism experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong writing and organization skills and an eye for detail
  • Not afraid to ask questions and a fast learner
  • Ability to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary

BOOKKEEPER

The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is seeking either a full time (40 hours a week) or part time (between 15 – 20 hours a week) in-house experienced Bookkeeper. This position executes all financial, auditing, and accounting activities for the Center and reports directly to the President.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Preparation for the annual audit and serving as the primary liaison with the auditors
  • 990 support of auditors
  • Executing and managing the daily financial operations of the Center, including, but not limited to:
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall cash management
  • Payroll (including timely payment of retirement plan contributions)
  • HR benefits compliance
  • Annual budgeting
  • Reconciling the donor database

This professional will prepare and present regular financial reports to the President and as needed for the President to present to the Board of Directors and will collaborate closely with Center staff to advance the Center’s mission.

Qualifications of a Successful Candidate:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the accounting field, can include internships and part-time work
  • Extremely detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage their time
  • Committed to the Center’s mission
  • Experience using QuickBooks and MS Excel

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with using non-profit general ledger systems
  • Experience in financial reporting and budgeting
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality of personnel, fiscal, donor, and internal organization information and ability to exercise discretion
  • An accountant who has earned the CPA designation and has specific experience in fund accounting is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desirable although not required

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women is seeking a fundraising professional to perform a vital role in the organization’s donor relations and fundraising efforts.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage a portfolio of prospects including all aspects of the gift cycle:

1) Initiate contact with supporters and research potential for giving

2) Develop cultivation strategies to include correspondence, personal visits, event participation and hosting Circle of Friends events, etc.

3) Move supporters in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation

4) Make solicitations when appropriate

5) After receiving gift, provide a high level of stewardship and gratitude.

  • Keep reports of the status and progress of assigned list of supporters, keeping detailed records of all communication.
  • Ensure a comprehensive and informative visit report is always written, and in data base with all donor contacts.
  • Work with Luce Center president and staff to ensure supporter events reach maximum financial potential for the Center.
  • Focus on planned giving efforts with donors.
  • Be able to research and write grant proposals as needed, keeping track of due dates.
  • Be willing to travel at least twice per month to meet donors centered around an ask or a request to send a proposal.
  • Attend conferences to learn proven Moves Management skills and read professional books on fundraising.

Qualifications of a Successful Candidate:

  • Strong commitment and enthusiasm for the Center’s mission to prepare young women for conservative leadership and success, while promoting today’s best conservative women leaders as role models and mentors.
  • A minimum three years of experience with individual donor, foundation and/or corporate development is preferred. For recent college graduates, work with donor and corporate funded events is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in writing proposals for major gifts and experience in raising major gifts from individuals or foundations in face-to-face visits. For recent college graduates, comparable experience will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and treat all information confidentially, working well under pressure.
  • Ability to work in our Herndon, VA headquarters Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, is required. Staff does not work remotely.
  • Experience with Donor Perfect software is a plus.
