A new law enacted in the February Stimulus bill requires doctors, hospitals and other health care providers to create an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for every American by 2014. A person’s EHR would, of course, include a personal “medical history and problems list,” accessible to other health care providers along with your friendly government bureaucrats.
Libertarians and conservatives don’t like the EHR idea, and we hear it isn’t sitting well with the ‘anything goes’ sex-wingers either.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) says people will be able to stop doctors from including records of sexually transmitted diseases and abortions in the new national system of Electronic Health Records that was mandated by the stimulus law enacted in February.
Interesting that these particular medical problems were singled out for exclusion by Mr. Kennedy. One wonders why, if as sex-wingers want the world to believe, there’s no stigma attached to the consequences of the Sex in the City lifestyle.
