Tufts University going to bat for uncomfortable students

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

This article appeared in the Boston Herald this morning and addressed an interesting move by Tufts University to curtail the practice of “sexiling” or engaging in intimate acts in the presence of a roommate.

And the world will know

A new law enacted in the February Stimulus bill requires doctors, hospitals and other health care providers to create an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for every American by 2014.  A person’s EHR would, of course, include a personal “medical history and problems list,” accessible to other health care providers along with your friendly government bureaucrats.

Libertarians and conservatives don’t like the EHR idea, and we hear it isn’t  sitting well with the ‘anything goes’ sex-wingers either.

New HPV vaccine’s side effects

Monday, September 21st, 2009

The new HPV vaccine Cervarix for women teens – widely used in the UK and close to FDA approval in the US – has as many problems as Gardisil, warns a British drug safety watchdog group.

Dubbed the “promiscuity jab” in Britain, according to a Philadelphia news story, adverse reaction include “nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, convulsions, seizures and hyperventilation.”
