Monaco Schmidt is a rising sophomore at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She studies Organizational Communications and Industrial Organizational Psychology. Monaco grew up in Mason, Texas.  Mason is a small, rural community in the Hill Country of Texas.

Monaco is a conservative because she believes in promoting and protecting the constitution and personal liberties.

Her favorite conservative woman is Karen Hughes. Mrs. Hughes worked closely with President George W. Bush throughout his campaigns and terms as a communications executive, the White House Director of Communications, and a counselor to the president. She is a strong conservative woman who proves that there can be a balance between faith, family, and career.

Besides politics and communications, Monaco has a passion for travel. This coming fall, Monaco will be studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ella sabe un poco de español (she knows a little Spanish). She is hopeful that a year of emersion in the Argentine culture will lead to her mastering another language and gaining a deeper appreciation for another culture.

For the summer, Monaco upgraded her Malibu beach life to live near Washington D.C. and work as a Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute fellow. She has already had the pleasure of introducing Elinor Werner at the Capitol Hill Intern Summit and is looking forward to the other events she will participate in this coming summer.
